Vako Transport Systems: Container- and Silo-Tipping System

About a third of the transport of ISO containers in the world runs empty. The cause is the dissimilar traffic. It is therefore useful to find additional bulk cargoes for standard containers. But it means to tilt the container perpendicular with the doors upward.

While the pure erecting technically is no problem the closing of the doors of the loaded container is an important security criterion.

The VAKO tilt system is built on a standard 30-ft container chassis. A hydraulically adjustable slide with – for security reasons – hydraulic front latch is moved to the rear hydraulically supported and then tilted. The door lock can then be operated without activities on established container. After the loading of the container is rotated to the horizontal and then moved to the center position on the chassis.
